Ordinary Time is the longest season in the church calendar. Having been filled with the Spirit in Pentecost until the arrival of Christ in Advent, we live in the mundane, yet with much meaning.
So, we spend some time in the Book of Nehemiah, where meaning is found in Jesus as he leads us to rebuild the broken down wall and burned gates, and to build with him the holy city of God, a whole people, protected and secure.
